Russian tennis players Khachanov and Rublev withdraw from the doubles tournament of the Masters series in Rome

Official Web site The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) reported that Russia’s Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov have withdrawn from the Masters doubles tournament in Rome.

The reason for the withdrawal from the competition was an injury to the adductor muscle of Khachanov’s thigh.

In the first round, the Russian tennis players defeated Colombians Robert Faro and Juan Sebastian Cabal in sets of 4:6, 7:5, 10:7. In the second round, they would face British Jamie Murray and New Zealand’s Michael Venus.

The prize fund of the tournament is more than 7.7 million Euros.

Recall that in the updated ATP rating, Khachanov rose from 12th to 11th place. Andrei Rublev takes sixth place. Serbian Novak Djokovic remains in the lead.
