Former head coach of Moscow “Torpedo” Alexander Borodyuk spoke about the fifth consecutive championship of “Zenith”. Transmits words RT.

“Zenit’s superiority is explained by the inability of the league’s main clubs to compete with St. Petersburg neither financially, organizationally nor in terms of selection,” Borodyuk said.

Zenit took the win ahead of schedule by beating Spartak Moscow 3-2 in the 26th round of the 2022/23 RPL season. This victory for the team of Sergei Semak took the fifth place in a row in the championship of Russia. Petersburg became the national champion for the tenth time, thanks to which the club received a second star in the emblem.

In the 27th round, Zenit, already in the status of the winner of the RPL, drew with Krasnodar (2: 2).

SKA St. Petersburg’s former head coach Roman Rotenberg congratulated “Zenith” has won its fifth consecutive title in the RPL, and he said hockey players also tend to be blue-white-blue.
