Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the judoka Arman Adamyan on his victory at the World Championship held in Doha. This was reported by the Kremlin’s official website.

The 26-year-old Russian won the weight category up to 100 kg. He defeated two-time Olympic champion Lukasz Krpalek from the Czech Republic in the final.

Athletes representing law enforcement and armed forces will not be allowed to compete.
