Spanish newspaper World Deportivo Petersburg’s Brazilian striker Zenit Malcolm said it would be difficult for foreign clubs to force him to leave Russia.
Journalist Javier Alfaro is confident that Zenit will receive many offers to sign Malcolm.
“There will certainly be offers for Malcolm, but it will not be easy to get him out of Russia,” the media representative wrote.
Malcom moved from Barcelona to Zenit in 2019. During his time in Russia, he managed to become four times Russian Premier League (RPL) champion, once winning the Cup and three times the country’s Super Cup. His contract with the blue-whites continues until the summer of 2027.
In January, it was reported that French side Paris Saint-Germain showed serious interest in the player.
In 2021, Malcolm won a gold medal with Brazil at the Tokyo Olympics.
Petersburg “Zenith” Malcolm’s former Brazilian forward implied for championship bonuses to Alexander Medvedev, general manager of blue-white-blue.
Malcolm rushed to Medvedev, hugged him, then showed the attendant a gesture that symbolized financial incentives.
