Earlier, Kostomarov, for the first time in a long time, posted a message on a social network, thanking everyone for their support in the recovery process after a serious illness.
“Roman, what a pleasure to hear from you! Power to you!” Strizhenova wrote.
It became known on January 10 that Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized. It was stated that he was taken to the intensive care unit due to pneumonia and was dependent on artificial lung ventilation, and his condition was reported to be extremely serious.
Later, the athlete was transferred to a hospital in Kommunarka, where he was resuscitated and connected to ECMO. The media wrote that Kostomarov underwent several operations to amputate his limbs due to the consequences of the disease. Now the skater is preparing for prosthetic surgery.
