A club’s national anthem is part of its identity, an almost “sacred” element for the fans. Of course, Osasuna also has its national anthem, that melody that sounds in El Sadar regardless of the team’s category or present. A song sung a little with the voice and a little with the heart.

Osasuna anthem: lyrics, music and author

The author of the Osasuna national anthem is Manuel Turrillas Ezcurra or, simply, the “Master Turrillas”. He was born on January 1, 1905 in Barásoain and died on October 20, 1997 in Pamplona. He was and remains one of the most relevant personalities of popular music in Navarre, also known for composing songs for “La Pamplonesa”.

Lyrics of the Osasuna national anthem

The “elf” of Osasuna, brave and fighter,

defends his colours, with overwhelming verve,

and that’s why the fans are screaming at him incessantly:

“Osasuna, wow! You know how to succeed”.

Of your blouse and your flag, strong and red is the color,

of your blouse and your flag, like mountain oak and Ribera wine,

All of Navarre vibrates within you, wherever you are.

Artists in the game, they dominate the ball,

they waste courage and fight with tenacity,

and the enthusiastic audience often exclaims:

“Osasuna, wow! You know how to succeed”.

Of your blouse and your flag, strong and red is the color,

of your blouse and your flag, like mountain oak and Ribera wine,

All of Navarre vibrates within you, wherever you are.

Osasuna brave, don’t stop fighting,

that Navarra admires you because you know how to play.

Osasuna brave, play with enthusiasm,

that by playing and winning you become a champion.
