Elizaveta Koloskova, captain of the senator’s sports club and Russian cheerleading team, talked about the potential transition from a European federation to an Asian federation in an interview with a socialbites.ca correspondent.
In his opinion, such a move would not only halt progress in the training of athletes, but also seriously hinder a possible return to the official European federation (ECU), which organizes accredited competitions.
“You have to understand that there are several cheerleading federations in almost all countries because of bureaucracy and competition. But the strongest teams all compete in the main federation, which is selected for international starts under the auspices of the ISU.
The same thing happens in other countries. There is an Asian federation where you can compete with some games and this will be considered normal, but then it will be difficult to return to a normal federation.
The second point is that there are no commands. You can come to the World Championship organized by the Asian Federation and be the first among only three participants. It doesn’t give anything.
We had the option to go to Korea, but for what? Spending a lot of money to beat two teams? – said the athlete.
