Head coach of Voronezh “Fakel” Vadim Evseev gave the first interview of this status. He stated that he always follows the Russian Premier League (RPL) and especially watches and analyzes the matches of his new team.
“For one thing, no matter what league I work in, I always follow the RPL, it’s a showcase of our football. I also watched and analyzed Torch matches. For example, a home match with Dynamo when the first half was completely lost, and then … (smiles) Secondly, on Saturday it is clear that I was in another club, in another league. But I still watched all of Fakel’s spring games. I saw moments when adjustments could be made to have a positive effect on the game of the team, ”recalls the words of Evseev, the press service of the Voronezh club.
Fakel announced on May 1 that Evseev was appointed as head coach. The day before, the specialist left a similar position in Yaroslavl “Shinnik”. At the end of 28 weeks, Shinnik is in 11th place in the First Division with 37 points. Fakel is in 14th place in RPL with 21 points after 25 matches.
Evseev became Shinnik’s head coach in June 2021. His contract was for two years. In his first season at the club, he won Group 2 of FNL-2 and advanced to the First Division.
