CSKA Moscow defeated Ak Bars Kazan in the second match of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) final playoff series.

The match played in Kazan on April 19 ended with the 3-0 victory of the capital’s army team.

For the Red-Blues, the goals were scored by Vladislav Kamenev, Yaroslav Dyblenko and Mikhail Grigorenko.

Thanks to the win, CSKA tied the score 1-1 in the Gagarin Cup final series.

The third match of the final will be played on April 21 in Moscow.

Earlier it was learned that CSKA head coach Sergei Fedorov will continue to work in his role in the next season of the Continental Hockey League, despite rumors that the National Hockey League (NHL) Columbus Blue Jackets club is interested in him.

Fedorov will lead CSKA in 2021. He won the Gagarin Cup in the first season with the Moscow club. In the current playoff draw, the army team will again play in the final of the tournament. As a player, Fedorov has played for CSKA, Detroit Red Wings, Anaheim Ducks, Columbus, Washington Capitals and Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
