State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov, a two-time Olympic hockey champion, said he would be interested in asking a few questions to former USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev, but there would be no such opportunity.

Gorbachev passed away on August 30, 2022.

“Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev and I once crossed paths. It would be interesting to talk to him again. I remember seeing me, he came: “Slava, now the reporters were torturing me. But you lived happily in the Soviet Union, didn’t you? You won everyone. And they scold me…”

“Yes,” I say, “we lived normally. Why did you destroy my country?

Fetisov is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame. He won the Stanley Cup twice as a player and also won the trophy again as a coach and became the USSR champion 14 times.
