Dallas Stars head coach Peter Debour admitted that at first he couldn’t believe the size of Russian forward Minnesota Kirill Karpizov.

“I love watching it. I coached him in the All-Star Game and I couldn’t believe his height. Its structure is like a tank, you can see how it builds its game. Reminds me of Zach Parise. They’re not big guys, but they play strong. They play in the zone and it is difficult to get the puck from them, they are not afraid to go to the “dirty” areas of the field. It is difficult to play against Kaprizov, ”recounts Debur Athletic.

Minnesota defeated Dallas 3-2 in overtime in Game 1 of the National Hockey League (NHL) Quarterfinals Playoff Series today. Kirill Kaprizov became the author of the first abandoned disc.

In total, during the NHL regular season, the Russian forward played 67 games for Minnesota, scoring 40 goals and providing 35 assists.

The Russian missed about a month due to injury.

It was previously reported that Dmitry Orlov’s help helped Boston beat Florida in Game 1 of the NHL Playoffs.
