The President of Yekaterinburg “Ural” Grigory Ivanov spoke emotionally about the sanctions of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky against the team’s midfielder Yuri Gazinsky.

Besides Gazinsky, Zelensky’s new sanctions list includes CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, choreographer Ilya Averbukh, gymnast Artur Dalaloyan and many others.
Gazinsky previously played for the Russian national team. He participated in the 2018 World Cup. The midfielder has been playing in the Ural since 2022.
In his team’s last match against CSKA, Gazinsky injured his shoulder after colliding with Igor Akinfeev. Prior to that, he also missed several spring games due to another injury.
