CSKA Moscow defender Igor Diveev’s manager, Oleg Eremin, has signed with Zenit St. He called rumors that St. Petersburg would offer the player a contract if he did not renew his contract with the army team.

“Go back to those who wrote this. Ask them, I don’t know where they got their information from. I don’t comment on rumors. Contract extension work with CSKA continues. It is not easy and not fast,” says Sport-Express, quoting Eremin’s words.

Diveev moved to CSKA from Ufa in 2019, first playing on loan in the army team, after a while a full contract was signed with him. The player’s current contract with the Red-Blues expires in 2024.

The footballer missed most of the 2022/23 season in the Russian Premier League (RPL) due to a serious injury. In September 2022, Diveev was diagnosed with a fracture of the tibia, the football player had been recovering for several months and did not play in the autumn part of the championship, but began to appear on the field after the resumption of the season.

Earlier, Khimki CEO Nikolai Olenev spoke about Rinat Bilyaletdinov, who is acting as the coach of the Moscow Region team after the loss to CSKA in the 22nd week match of the Russian Premier League (RPL).
