At American Detroit, the next game of the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season between the Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh Penguins has come to an end. The match ended with the overwhelming victory of the away team with a score of 5:1.
An abandoned puck in this game was noted by the Penguins’ Russian forward Evgeni Malkin. This was the striker’s 80th game of the current regular season. Thus, Malkin played at least 80 games in the NHL regular season for the first time since the 2008/2009 season. Then he played in all 82 games.
Last season in 2021/22, Malkin took part in 41 regular season games.
Malkin moved to Pittsburgh in 2006. He won the Stanley Cup three times (2006, 2010 and 2014) as part of the team. He signed a new contract with the Penguins on July 13, 2022. The deal was signed for four years, during which the Russian will earn $24.4 million.
It was previously reported Minnesota Wild to win “St. Louis Blues” on Russian forward Kirill Kaprizov’s return from the match.
