‘Washington’ without Ovechkin loses to ‘Florida’

Today, as part of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) regular season, the Washington Capitals hosted the Florida Panthers on the ice field. The match ended with the victory of the visiting team with a score of 4:2.

Dylan Strome led the game with a minute before the first timeout. At the start of the second game segment, Carter Verage evened the score. And two minutes later, Aaron Ekblad transformed the majority, helping Florida take the lead. The hosts managed to recover after three minutes. Tom Wilson was excellent. One of his assistants was Russian striker Evgeny Kuznetsov.

One minute before the end of the meeting, Florida took the lead thanks to a puck abandoned by Matthew Tkachuk. Peter Laviolette knocked the keeper down and at the last minute Capitals took the fourth puck into their nets.

It is worth noting that Washington captain Alexander Ovechkin was not involved in this match. Journalist Tom Gulitti had previously reported that the Russian suffered an upper body injury.

Ovechkin has appeared in 72 league games this season, scoring 42 goals and providing 32 assists. However, this did not help the Capitals reach the playoffs of the tournament.
