Russia’s first racket, Daria Kasatkina, failed to reach the finals of the WTA-500 dirt tournament held in Charleston (USA). In the semi-finals, Rus lost to Ons Jaber (Tunisia) with the scores of 5:7, 5:7.

The duration of the interview was 1 hour 49 minutes.

Not a single ace, but three double faults and 5 out of 14 real break points thanks to Kasatkina.

Jaber will play the winner of the match between American Jessica Pegula and Swiss Belinda Bencic in the final of the tournament.

It’s worth noting that in the current calendar year, Kasatkina was unable to beat the 2nd round tournaments in Doha, Dubai and Miami.

Kasatkina ranks eighth in the updated ranking of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She is the best among local tennis players. Polish representative Iga Swiatek continues to lead the ranking. In the second place is the representative of Belarus, Arina Sobolenko, while Jessica Pegula closes the top three. Also, the Russians occupy the 13th, 15th and 17th places of the rating, these are Veronika Kudermetova, Lyudmila Samsonova and Ekaterina Alexandrova.

It was previously reported that Daniil Medvedev will lose fourth place in the ATP rankings.
