Franco Camozzi, former adviser to Spartak Leonid Fedun, believes that Torino will only buy one midfielder and choose between Alexei Miranchuk and Nikola Vlasic.
“Miranchuk and Vlasic are great players. But they kind of copy each other’s functions on the pitch. I think Torino won’t be able to get both, it’s too expensive. The club will have to choose between Alexei and Nikola,” he said. “Rating bookmakers”.
Both players are on loan until the end of the season. The Croatian belongs to West Ham.
In September 2020 Miranchuk moved from Lokomotiv Moscow to Italian Atalanta. His contract with the club expires in the summer of 2024. The Russian player failed to secure a spot in the main team and moved to Turin on loan last summer.
Miranchuk played a total of 21 Serie A games this season with 4 goals and 4 assists. Vlašić made 24 appearances (4+2).
In mid-March, Miranchuk was injured in Turin and missed the national team’s training camp in March.
