Italian tennis player Yannick Sinner congratulated Russian Daniil Medvedev, who lost to him in the final of the Masters tournament in Miami.
“Congratulations to Daniil, not only for this tournament, but for the last five tournaments as well. You show incredible tennis. But now the clay is starting, let’s see how you perform there. Good luck.
This morning I woke up in a bad state, I felt bad. Thank you all for your support, you have given me strength and energy. But I still couldn’t show my best,” Sinner said at the awards ceremony.
On April 2, Daniil Medvedev won the Masters tournament in Miami for the first time in his career. In the final, the Russian defeated the Italian representative Yannick Sinner in sets of 7:5, 6:3. Medvedev defeated Karen Khachanov, Christopher Eubanks, Kenten Alice, Alex Molchan and Roberto Carballes-Baena on the way to the trophy.
It is worth noting that for Medvedev this title is already fourth in 2023. He also defeated Sinner in the final and managed to win tournaments in Indian Wells (USA), Dubai, Doha and Rotterdam.
