Former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann is the main contender for the post of head coach of English Premier League (EPL) club Chelsea, according to social networking resource Fabrizio Romano.
According to him, the candidacy of the 35-year-old German specialist is being evaluated by the Chelsea management, but he has not made a final decision so far and he is still in talks with the coach.
Recall that on April 2, Chelsea announced the dismissal of Graham Potter as the team’s head coach. Potter has been in charge of Chelsea since September 2022 and his contract runs until the end of June 2027.
Together with the 47-year-old Chelsea specialist, he had 12 wins, 11 losses and eight draws in all competitions. The team is in 11th place in the Premier League with 38 points from 28 games. The club reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where it will face Real Madrid.
