US Olympic champion admits that her favorite athlete is a Russian

US Olympic ice hockey champion Hayley Skarupa has revealed the name of her favorite athlete, NBC Sports Capitals reported on social media.

“We grew up and watched Ovechkin develop as a player, captain, leader and person. It’s really cool to watch her transform. When people ask me who my favorite athlete is, I always say Alex Ovechkin,” said Skarupa.
