He has a contract until 2024 and the interest of AC Milan has been pointed out from Italy

There are still three months to complete the course. And when that happens, it will be a crucial summer for alvaro morata. At Atlético de Madrid they are satisfied with his performance and his attitude, while the Spain international is also happy and can fully identify with the club, the dressing room and the coach. However, when the current season ends, Morata will have to make a decision about his future. He still has a contract with the rojiblancos until June 30, 2024, but from July 1 he will face his last campaign as a mattress player. Continue or exit? That is the question.

Renew at Atleti or let his contract run until 2024

When the current season ends, a negotiation scenario for Morata’s future opens up, with three options on the table. The first is to extend his contract for one or two more seasons, with a view to a contract extension with Atleti, at least until 2025. So far there have been no talks to extend his contract, but the harmony between the parties is really good and everything indicates that they will soon sit down and talk about the matter. The second possibility would be that Morata and his entourage decide to run out of his contract and make a decision about his future months before his relationship with Atleti ends, to be the owners of his future and be a free agent from January 1, 2024 .

In July amortized transfer and any interest from Milan

The third way would be to bet on leaving Atlético de Madrid this summer. Various media shows the interest of several English and Italian clubs in Morata. The Italian press even states that AC Milan would be willing to make an offer for Atleti from July, with a proposal for a transfer of 15 to 20 million euros. Morata is happy in Madrid and happy with his role in the team, but it’s no secret that he has a great billboard in Italy and that if he were to move, Serie A would be a destination he wouldn’t dislike . It should be remembered that Atleti paid 53 million to Chelsea (18 million loan fee plus 35 fixed for the transfer) and before loaning to Juventus, Atlético extended his contract until 2024. The signing of Morata has already been completely written off and all money Atlético received for his hypothetical transfer would add up as a net book profit in the mattress box.

Morata is in no hurry to decide his future, but he does know that when the course is over, he will have to move the token in one direction or another. Stay with Atleti or leave. At the moment, his figures this season are not bad at all: he is the top scorer of the mattress team so far this year with a total of 12 goals in 35 games.
