State Duma Deputy Roman Teryushkov shared his opinion on the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in international competitions. Transmits words Meta ratings.
“In the opinion of our enemies, the example of neutral athletes, apparently, should serve as an incentive for a mass sporting debut. However, as always – a miscalculation. “All Russian citizens understand that the IOC is a foreign agent, a hostile organization for Russia, and all impartial athletes are traitors to our Motherland,” said Teryushkov.
On 28 March, Switzerland hosted the first day of the IOC Executive Committee meeting, which discussed the issue of the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions.
The organization recommended that the Russians be allowed to remain in a neutral status if the athletes did not actively support the war. Athletes representing law enforcement and armed forces will not be allowed to compete.
