Three-time Olympic champion, State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina shared the opinion put forward by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the conditions for admission of Russian athletes to international tournaments.

“It is not yet certain whether we will accept the offer that Bach is talking about. What are the remains of this master table? First of all, Russian athletes need to say why they will compete without anthem and without a flag. If there was a reason before – systematic violation of doping rules, what now?

The IOC forgot the Olympic Charter and the laws of the Olympic Movement. That’s why Bach needs to pick up and read the Olympic Charter. They think we’ll run right away and gladly join the Games. And then a decision will be made by the NOC, the national federations and, of course, the athletes, ”says Rodnina “Champions.com”.

On March 28, IOC President Thomas Bach recommended at the organization’s executive committee meeting that Russians should be allowed to participate in international tournaments only as neutral athletes and only those who do not speak openly in support of the IOC. It is not affiliated with Ukraine and its national security services or armed forces.

It was also stated that Russian and Belarusian athletes should not be represented in team sports.

It was previously reported that the IOC approved Not accepting athletes from CSKA.
