Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), announced that the ban on holding international competitions in Russia and Belarus continues.
“It was decided not to hold international competitions in Russia and Belarus. Bach said there should be no flags, anthems or other state symbols in international competitions.
Recall that the IOC Executive Committee plans to discuss the issue of admitting Russians to international competitions on March 28.
On January 25, the IOC announced that it is considering the possibility of allowing Russian athletes who do not support the conduct of a special operation on Ukrainian territory to participate in international competitions with a neutral status.
Thomas Bach, formerly President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said that Russian athletes supporting SVO, fail participate in competitions.
“Athletes who actively support CBO cannot compete. Support personnel who approve of Russia’s actions are also excluded from tournaments.”
