The confrontation between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid was experienced in a very exciting way in Mexico City.
Spanish professional football leaguehas entered Mexico City an activation for all fans of LaLiga, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, to live one of the most important matches of the season, ElClásico.
This event was held on Sunday, March 19 at the Monument to the Revolution and was attended by 5,000 people.
During the activity, the game was played on a giant screen and special guests commented on the best of this showdown. LaLiga legends Carles Puyol (former footballer of FC Barcelona) and Fernando Morientes (former footballer of FC Real Madrid) traveled to Mexico City to cheer on their teams and celebrate the passion of ElClásico with all Mexicans.
“This viewing is part of the activation strategy we have from LaLiga North America to be closer to our fans in the region. In this event with 5,000 people, we wanted to share with the fans in Mexico City one of the most emblematic of the competition,” said Alejandro de Gabriel, LaLiga representative in Mexico.
The activation at the Monument to the Revolution started at noon and included activations for the little ones in the house, as well as for adults. Several LaLiga partners had activations, such as: SKY, Motorola, Strendus, StageFront, Panini, CHUBB, among others. The skills of the event participants were put to the test, including ball precision activations, digital photos, exhibition of LaLiga team shirts.
Thanks to its global presence on five continents, LaLiga can bring El Clásico closer to football fans from all corners of the world. This Sunday’s match was enjoyed far beyond Spain’s borders thanks to LaLiga’s organization of more than 52 activities in more than 28 countries. In collaboration with local and global partners.
El Clásico viewings have become a unique and legendary experience in recent years, and this weekend saw several major events for fans. For example, other viewings were held in addition to Mexico City: in Los Angeles for 2,000 people or in Ghana for 1,000 people.
