The Ecuadorian attacker has a grade I muscle injury in the right adductor.

Gonzalo Plata, the Ecuadorian striker of Real Valladolid, has been injured during the match between Pucela and Athletic Club Bilbao for LaLiga Matchday 26.

For this reason, the footballer of Zorrilla’s team, who started and played 90 minutes in Valladolid’s last three games, has not traveled with Ecuador to the international match in March.

As stated in the medical report provided by Pucela through his social networks, Plata “finished the game against Athletic Club with discomfort and the tests carried out show that he has a grade I muscle injury in the right adductor muscle”. The attacker is therefore not traveling with Ecuador to contest the double friendly commitment of ‘la Tricolor’ in Australia.

Plata is expected to be available for Valladolid after the international break, with the blanquivioletas having to visit the Santiago Bernabéu to face Real Madrid for matchday 27 of LaLiga this Sunday, April 2.

Gonzalo Plata has played a very important role in Pacheta’s schedule this season, having played 90 minutes in Valladolid’s last three appearances. The Ecuadorian signed for the club for the current season (he joined from Sporting Lisbon in July 2022 and is on contract until 2027), recording 4 assists in his 22 LaLiga appearances in 2022-23, playing 1,414 minutes with Pucela.
