Russian tennis player Medvedev rises to second place in ATP title race

In the championship race of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Russian Daniil Medvedev went from third to second.

The 27-year-old Russian made it to the finals of the Masters series tournament where he lost to Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz at American Indian Wells last week. At the top of the list is Serbian Novak Djokovic.

Points in the championship race are awarded according to the same principle as in the ATP ranking, but reset at the beginning of each calendar year.
