Famous Russian tennis player Andrei Chesnokov, who won two Masters tournaments during his professional career, evaluated his chances in the upcoming semi-finals of the prestigious ATP tournament at Indian Wells, where Russian Daniil Medvedev and American Francis Tiafoe will meet.

“Tiafo plays very cunningly, very unexpectedly. He has such blows – bombs. If you watch their last game, at the US Open, Tiafoe played in a comfortable zone until she met Medvedev. There the comfort immediately ended, she disappeared. The Russian octopus again put her in their nets. I think he will.”

Medvedev and Tiafoe have met four times at the ATP tour level, with Russia’s top tennis player winning in all matches, including the Australian Open and the US Open in 2020. At the same time, Tiafoe won her only Challenger-level match in Nice in 2015.

It was previously reported that Novak Djokovic withdraws from Miami tournament.
