The club from Nervión could not register its 25 players in the Europa League and had to omit two after the winter acquisitions.
Sevilla has been one of the teams that more have moved on the winter market both in additions and losses in his squad and this has affected the list of players he will have available to play in the UEFA Europa League, where his squad has also undergone changes.
After finishing third in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, the Nervión club will play in the Europa League and start competing in the round of 16, where PSV will meet the first leg on February 16-23.
However, UEFA rules do not allow the entry of the 24 players from the Sevilla first team, as only three new players can be listed after the winter transfer window. This has resulted in Tecatito Corona and Pape Gueye not being registered.
Why Pape Gueye and Tecatito Corona cannot play the 2023 Europa League with Sevilla
Sevilla have only been able to register 22 players, 21 on list A and Bryan Gil who enters list B because he is a youth player for the club. With regards to the previous list there could be three additions and they are Lucas Ocampos, Loic Bade and Oliver Torres, who comes in after being left out in the first part of the season and has put in a great performance this season. In addition, following Isco’s departure, UEFA rules required Sevilla to be one of the players included in the list.
For its part, Tecatito Corona, who was out in the first part of the season due to his serious ankle injury, has not been re-registered, nor has Pape Gueye, the player joined Olympique de Marseille on loan but left out to play just three to have changes.
Oddly enough, the new players on the list will use somewhat strange numbers, as already used numbers cannot be repeated and Badé will wear 44 as 22 was already used by Isco, while Ocampos will wear 55 as 5 was already used by Dolberg.
Likewise, the players who left Sevilla in this winter market also leave the list as it is Isco, Dolberg, Januzaj and Delaney. Aceand the lists remain:
A list: Bono, Dmitrovic, Jesús Navas, Montiel, Badé, Marcao, Nianzou, Rekik, Acuña, Alex Telles, Gudelj, Fernando, Joan Jordán, Oliver Torres, Rakitic, Ocampos, Lamela, Suso, Papu Gómez, En-Nesyri and Rafa Mir .B List: Alberto Flores, Matías, Valentino, Pablo Pérez, Carlos Álvarez and Bryan Gil.
