The 2023 Colombian Cup He started his actions in Colombian professional football. The tournament that brings together and confronts the teams of the first and second division of the country has reserved the place for Colombia 4 for the Libertadores cup of 2024, and therefore a title desired by the main clubs in the country is being created.
The format of the tournament underwent significant changes from previous editions, as from Stage I some teams from the First Division competed along with those from the Second Division and the keys were raffled with eight seeded teams, as in Stage II.
For Stage IV (Round of 16), the teams occupying the top 12 positions in the 2022 BetPlay League Reclassification will be added, including this year’s Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana participants.
The Cup started on February 16 and ends on November 2.

The championship will be held with the participation of the 36 clubs affiliated to DIMAYOR and will take place as follows:

PHASE L
Stage I of the competition is held with 16 clubs defined as follows:
– The last 8 clubs in the BetPlay DIMAYOR 2022 tournament total reclassification table and the last 8 in the BetPlay DIMAYOR 2022 competition total reclassification table.
– Cúcuta Deportivo, who did not participate in the BetPlay DIMAYOR I2022 tournament and therefore does not score points in the total reclassification table of the BetPlay DIMAYOR 2022 tournament, will be placed in position number 16 of the total reclassification table.
– In the case of the clubs relegated in the 2022 season, Patriotas Boyacá and Cortuluá will replace the positions of the clubs promoted to the first category in the BetPlay DIMAYOR 2022 Tournament Total reclassification table; that is, Patriotas Boyacá will replace Boyacá Chicó’s position, and for its part, Cortuluá will replace Atlético Huila’s position.
– In the case of the clubs promoted in the 2022 season, Boyacá Chicó and Atlético Huila will replace the positions of the clubs relegated to the second tier in the BetPlay DIMAYOR 2022 League Total reclassification table; that is, Boyacá Chicó will replace Patriotas Boyacá’s position, and for its part, Atlético Huila will replace Cortuluá’s position.
