La Vila hosts for the first time this Saturday 2023 Rugby Sevens with the participation of: Dartmouth University USAUSA 2022 college champion, Madrid architectureSpanish rugby’s most successful club and Viator Barbariansfirst team invitation spain
Dartmouth University is starting its preparation tour in Spain for the IVY League, USA Universities Rugby Sevens League, which brings together 8 of the best American universities, in Villajoyosa. On Monday 20 March they will travel to Madrid and then to Seville where they will play the Lovers Rugby Tournaments. Former national rugby Sevens coach Pablo Feijoo will coach the Viator Barbarians team, which includes 4 players from the Spanish Rugby Sevens Academy.
Arquitectura Madrid, the most successful club in Spanish Rugby, celebrates its 90-year history as one of the 15 Rugby Clubs that have always supported this Olympic method. The I VIATOR RUGBY SEVENS tournament will be held at Villajoyosa Rugby Stadium this Saturday between 12:00-15:00 and 17:00 for group matches.
At 3 in the afternoon, the 23rd Lower League match will be played between La Vila and CRC Madrid.. Free entry for both events
Rugby Sevens referees will be Juanma Escudero and Daniel Carrion with International Sevens experience and will be managed by the Valencia Community Rugby Federation. The tournament will be held in collaboration with Villajoyosa City Council, Generalitat Valenciana, Provincial Council, Costa Blanca Tourist Board.
Rugby is organized by the Viator Barbarians Rugby Club in collaboration with La Vila and Costa Blanca Rugby Club.
