The Boston Bruins became the first team in the National Hockey League (NHL) to qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs in the 2022-23 season.
After the Washington Capitals defeated the New York Islanders 5:1 in the NHL regular season game, the club was ticketed to the next stage.
Boston also won the regular season game against Detroit on March 12 (3:2), scoring 105 points in 64 games and is guaranteed to continue fighting for the Stanley Cup.
The winners included Hampus Lindholm, Patrice Bergeron and Garnet Hathaway. Russian defender Dmitry Orlov provided an assist. Andrew Kopp and Alex Chiasson scored goals for Detroit.
Boston continues to lead the Eastern Conference standings. Detroit is in 13th place with 67 points.
The team will play the playoffs for the 7th time in a row and the 76th time in history in the National Hockey League.
Previously, Boston Bruins Russian defender Dmitry Orlov commented Trading from Washington Capitals. Orlov has been with Capitals since 2011. He won the Stanley Cup as part of the team in 2018.
