Russian forward “New York Rangers” Artemy Panarin provided three assists to his teammates in two periods in the game against the “Montreal Canadiens”. The forward had his 29th assist hat-trick in eight years playing in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Panarin has become the second best winger in eight years since his debut in the NHL. First place belongs to Mike Bossi (33) and the Russian repeated the success of Guy Lefler (29) and defeated Jaromir Jagr and Jari Kurri (28 each).

Panarin also surpassed Russian Ilya Kovalchuk’s result in assists for a career in the NHL (from 435 to 433). The best Russian assistant in the history of the NHL is Evgeni Malkin – in March 2022 he was ahead of Sergei Fedorov in this indicator.
