Russian MMA fighter Said Nurmagomedov shared his expectations from the upcoming fight between Peter Yan and Merab Dvalishvili.
“Thinking. It’s going to be an equal fight. If we talk about some kind of advantage, then it’s a small advantage for January. He fought five rounds. Not Merab. He has good functionality for three rounds, but I don’t know if it’s enough for five. Said at a press conference, Yang fought more than five rounds and felt good.”
Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili will meet on March 12 in Las Vegas (USA) as part of the UFC tournament.
Recall that on October 22, American Sean O’Malley defeated Russian Petr Yan by split decision in a bantamweight fight as part of the UFC-280 tournament in Abu Dhabi.
For Peter Yan, this defeat was the second in a row. He lost to Aljamain Sterling at UFC-273 in April of this year. This meeting was vengeful in nature. In a previous fight, Yang was disqualified for hitting a sitting opponent on the head with his knee.
Dvalishvili fought 19 fights in mixed martial arts, of which 15 were won. The last opponent of the Georgian was Jose Aldo, which he defeated by a unanimous decision of the jury.
