Argentina’s President Alberto Fernandez said the country’s authorities have decided to send additional forces to fight crime to the city of Rosario, where unidentified men have threatened national team captain Lionel Messi.

“I understand that Rosario needs us. The city’s security forces are not enough to solve the crime problem. First, I decided to send 1,400 law enforcement officers to Rosario. Secondly, I decided to involve the military,” Fernandez wrote on social media. We are talking about engineering professionals.

Recall that on the night of March 2, information emerged that unidentified persons opened fire on a supermarket in Rosario, Messi’s hometown, Argentina, and left a message to the football player. “Two people on motorcycles went to a supermarket and opened fire,” the media said. The supermarket belongs to the athlete’s father-in-law.

“Messi, we are waiting for you. (Pablo) Khavkin (the head of the city) is a drug dealer, he will not take care of you, ”says the note left by the criminals on the wall of the building.

In December, Messi became the world champion in the Argentina national team, defeating France on penalties in the final. He scored seven goals, made three assists and was recognized as the best player in the tournament.

Former Barcelona President Joan Laporta announced Lionel Messi has left the Catalan team.
