How does the draw for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final work?
- The draws include the eight winners of the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
- There are three draws: those for the quarter-finals; that of the semi-finals, in which the preliminary rounds for the quarter-finals meet; and the third, which determines the ‘home team’ in the final for administrative reasons.
- There is no seeding or land protection, so teams can compete against rivals from the same national federation. Any other restrictions will be announced prior to the drawing ceremony.
