Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Vladimir Mineev, who is in a special military operations zone in Ukraine, will be awarded the honorary badge “For Faith and Virtue” of the Ulyanovsk region.

The corresponding resolution, signed by the head of the Ulyanovsk City Duma, Ilya Nozhechkin, was published on the body’s website.

Mineev had his last fight in MMA against Magomed Ismailov at the AMC Fight Nights tournament on October 16. He retained the middleweight belt by knocking out his opponent in the third round.

On November 18, in Moscow, Vladimir Mineev defeated Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez in a kickboxing match. He knocked out his Russian opponent in the third round.

The 32-year-old athlete became the world and European champion in professional kickboxing.
