In GOAL we look at the ranking of the Mexican teams in the Concacaf Champions League.

The Conca champions 2023 starts with the round of round of 16where 16 teams come from Central, North America and the Caribbeanthey will try to advance to the stage and become one of the top 8 teams in the region.

HOW DO MEXICAN TEAMS QUALIFY FOR THE CONCACHAMPIONS?

The format to the Concaf Champions League it is obtained through 100% sporting merits. The confederation prizes are awarded annually 4 slots to the Mexican Football Federation, which are distributed as follows:

Mexico 1: champion of the Apertura tournament

Mexico2: finalist of the Apertura tournament

Mexico3: champion of the Clausura tournament

Mexico 4: finalist of the Clausura tournament

*In the event that a finalist or champion team is repeated, it will be decided to award a place to the team with the best points classification during the football year. If the same criterion is repeated, it is the second best scoring team during the two regular tournaments.
