State Duma Deputy Dmitry Svishchev commented on Lokomotiv’s admission that striker Artem Dzyuba supports the political course of Russia. Svishchev quotes “RB Sports”.
“Dziuba, besides being an athlete, is also a well-known person. I think millions of people are interested in his ideas. There are those who follow his statements and career. It was interesting for me to listen to his judgments, his almost political views on life,” Svishchev says.
On February 8, the forward signed a contract with Lokomotiv until the end of the season. Dzyuba started the 2022/23 season as part of Turkish club Adana Demirspor, but terminated his contract a few months later and was looking for a new team as a free agent.
Dzyuba played the first official match for Lokomotiv in the Russian Cup match against Spartak. He spent the entire 90 minutes on the field without scoring. In the second match, Lokomotiv lost to Spartak with a score of 2:4.
