Liverpool and Real Madrid have met a total of nine times. Three of them were in the final of the UEFA Champions League, two group stage matches and four knockout matches. Therefore, both sets are measured in a total of three times at Anfield Road.
In the first, the English team thrashed the Madrid team 4-0. It was in 2009 in the round of 16 of the competition, in the second leg after a 0-1 win at the Bernabéu.
