Everything is ready for the discussion this Sunday of the twenty-seventh edition of the competition. Half Marathon and 10K “Aguas de Alicante”The event, which will be attended by athletes of 37 nationalities, is organized by the Sports Department of the Alicante City Council in cooperation with Club Atlético Montemar. More than 2,000 runners will take part in the test. It starts at half past nine in the morning. International participation is led by athletes from the United Kingdom, followed by France, Poland and the United States.
The two distances of the course are approved and controlled by the judges of the Royal Spanish Athletic Federation, so all scores in this 27th edition will be official. In turn, the runner’s fair will settle in:l Pier 12, Ocean Race ground del Puerto, “El desembarco del Corredor” from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. Numbers for the race can be picked up until half an hour before the start on Sunday, February 19th.

Also this year the number of awards increased and the total amount of the prizes is 1,500 Euro. All participants will receive an official and sustainable T-shirt with Esplanade design made from 50% recycled plastic fibers from bottles. Also, anyone who reaches the finish line will receive an official medal featuring the image of the Plaza de Toros following the landmarks of the city of Alicante. The start will be at 9:30 am with the Alicante anthem as the starting weapon.
