Famous financial advisor Rob Sechan turned to Russian Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Islam Makhachev after his victory over Australian Alex Volkanovski on his social networks.

“You are a great fighter, but everyone wanted Alexander Volkanovski to beat you. Many people, myself included, think he did it. Your victory was a gift from the jury. If the duel had lasted one more minute, no questions would have been asked. You would fall asleep,” Sechan wrote.

On February 12, Makhachev defeated Volkanovski by unanimous decision after five rounds at UFC 284 in Perth, Australia.

This victory for the Russian took the 24th place in his professional career with a loss. He defended his lightweight title for the first time.

Makhachev won his first UFC belt in a duel with Brazilian Charles Oliveira at the UFC-280 tournament in Abu Dhabi on October 22. The Russian fighter won the second round with a suffocating grip.

Before retiring from professional sports, another Russian, Khabib Nurmagomedov, held the lightweight championship belt.
