Krasnodar’s Nigerian striker Olakunle Olusegun spoke about Russian culture. Transmits words sports24.

“Russians, as a rule, are strict, they take everything seriously. We Africans are always in humor. Our sense of humor is not enough for me here, nor is the food. I did not try chebureks or shawarma, I do not like Russian food. Borscht, ravioli – I don’t like it. I prefer African food, I cook it myself: usually rice with chicken and vegetables. I’ve been eating it since childhood and it’s hard to change habits.

I don’t like Russian girls either (laughs)! Better than Nigeria. It is much easier for me with them because of the language, ”said the football player.

Olusegun was born in Nigeria. He completed his football training in a club from Gelendzhik.

The first professional club in the striker’s career was the Danish Fremad Amager. In 2021, Krasnodar leased Olusegun from Bulgarian Botev. In 2022, the “bulls” bought the player.

Olusegun has made 13 appearances in the Russian championship this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist. After 17 rounds, “Krasnodar” is in eighth place in the Russian Premier League (RPL).

formerly known as Olusegun said about his difficult childhood and his father getting beaten up for going to soccer practice.
