A mixed martial arts (MMA) fan on social networks is threatening to disrupt Russian Islam Makhachev’s title fight with Australian Alexander Volkanovski at the UFC 284 tournament in Perth, Australia.
“Final warning. This laser pointer on a diabetic needle will blind Makhachev causing him to finish or the fight to be declared non-competitive. Watch out for the green dot tomorrow. You will see how this will be tested in the Randy Brown fight and then in the main event,” the message says.
Makhachev is the current UFC lightweight champion. If successful, he would earn the belt in the two weight divisions as Volkanovski retains the featherweight title. Makhachev has 23 wins and one loss in his professional career.
