Recall that at the end of February 2022, the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Association of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to exclude the Russian national team and all Russian clubs from participation in all competitions controlled by these organizations.
On 30 December, the RFU was expected to make a decision on the transition to the Asian Confederation, but eventually the organization’s executive committee announced the creation of a working group that would analyze the situation and make recommendations on its advisability. leaving UEFA
In January, a working meeting between the RFU and UEFA was held. The parties agreed to continue contacts. The next face-to-face meeting will be held in February with the participation of institution representatives.
