Australian Open doubles champions announced 09:50

Czech tennis players Katerina Sinyakova and Barbora Krejcikova won the Australian Open held in Melbourne for the second consecutive year in doubles.

The duo, who took the first place in the final match, defeated Suko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara from Japan with 6:4, 6:3 sets. The interview lasted 1 hour and 29 minutes.

Czech tennis players became seven-time Grand Slam champions in doubles. They won the US Open last September.

The Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season, will conclude on January 29.

Previously, Belarus representative Arina Sobolenko to beat Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan in the Australian Open women’s final.

Sobolenko won in three sets with scores of 4:6, 6:3, 6:4. The duration of the interview was 2 hours 28 minutes.

Today, on January 29, the men’s final will be played, where Serbian Novak Djokovic and Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas will face each other. The match starts at 11.30 Moscow time.
