In an interview with a socialbites.ca correspondent, honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova talked about the decision of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) to acquit Kamila Valieva of intentional doping.
“This is very good news! It’s good that RUSADA acquitted Kamila, but very soon it will be a year since the Olympics when the first charges came to light.
I hope common sense prevails at CAS, justice prevails, and our men honestly receive their Olympic gold medals.”
On January 13, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announced that RUSADA notified him of the agency’s decision to acquit Valieva, who was not guilty despite violating the court’s anti-doping rules.
The only sanction imposed on the skater was to have his results canceled as soon as he tested positive. Her results at the 2021 Russian Championship, where Valieva passed a positive test, will be canceled.
Former sports commentator and TV presenter Dmitry Guberniev reacted for recognition of figure skater Kamila Valieva as the athlete of the year.
