As BroBible reported, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Dustin Poirier shared his view on a possible fight against Russian Islam Makhachev.
“No, I don’t want to test his Jiu-Jitsu skills. I want to test my hands on it. But we’ll see what happens, man,” said Poirier.
On October 22, Makhachev faced Oliveira in the lightweight title fight at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. The Russian fighter won the second round with a suffocating grip. This victory was 11th in a row at UFC tournaments.
Makhachev made 24 appearances in his professional career. He got his only defeat in the UFC 192 tournament from Brazilian Adrian Martins. Martins knocked out his opponent at the end of the second minute of the fight.
