The chairman of the FCBarcelona, Joan Laportalooked into the club’s current situation into the microphones of Cadena Ser and spoke, among other things, about the departure of Leo Messi and the possible return of the Argentine player that many continue to dream of in Barcelona.
In the program Qué T’hi Jugues, by SER Catalunya, Laporta acknowledged that he could not keep Leo as Barça were in ruins and that his departure was the best for the club at the time. The Barça leader claims he had to put Barcelona in front of the best player in football history, although he recalls that “Leo will always be part of our shield and I wish he had a different ending than him. There are several options, but I would be wrong if I said them. We are related.”
At this point, Laporta did not want to go any further, after remembering that missiles were coming at him everywhere, but he denied information that his relationship with Leo did not exist from the moment the Argentine had to say goodbye to FC Barcelona.
On the future of the club, says Laporta, who is committed to maintaining the club’s ownership model, which is why he rejects the spirit of turning it into a limited company. “The real estate model will not be touched”, he is so confident when asked about this.
And in that future, the super competition which he believes will be a reality by 2025 and will compete with the Prime Minister. Of course, remember that I wouldn’t have started this project if it wasn’t an open competition.
