Ayaz Guliyev, midfielder of Khimki near Moscow, said that he does not mind playing for the Azerbaijan national team in the future. “RB Sports”.

Halfback was born in Moscow but his father is from Azerbaijan. Guliyev was called up to the youth teams of Russia, but did not make his debut for the main national team.

“I can play for the Azerbaijan national team. You just have to accept and give final confirmation that I continue. “I do not rule out that in the future I will play for this team, not for the Russian team,” said Guliyev.

Guliyev joined the club near Moscow in the summer of 2022. Prior to that, he also played for Spartak Moscow, Anzhi, Rostov and Tula Arsenal, where he later moved to Khimki.

In 2019, he was involved in a pedestrian beating scandal. It was reported that the player did not stop in his vehicle at a red light and then collided with one of the pedestrians he had beaten.
